In 2000 Ami Edri joined the Alfa crew. Ami brought his military background, great computer knowledge, and diagnostics ability. In 2004 Sal retired from the mechanic work, and Ami took over as owner-expert mechanic. Since Ami took over, he has had one goal in mind: superior car repair and service with fair pricing for all customers.

Alfa Motors of Brooklyn was established in 1983 by Sal Sorci and Gappinno Vacarella. Sal and Gappinno came from Sicily with great knowledge of Italian and European vehicles, hence the name Alfa Motors. They started with a 2-bay garage, and in time grew into a 7-bay garage at the same location on the corner of Hicks and Union Streets in Brooklyn.

Over the years the shop focus shifted from Italian vehicles to German and Swedish; as of 1994 Alfa Romeo and Fiat are no longer imported to the U.S. In 1988 Sal and Gappinno parted ways and Sal Sorci became the sole owner. Kesh Bachu came to Alfa in 1997, bringing with him from Trinidad extensive knowledge of Japanese vehicles where he worked as a mechanic for 8 years.
